First, an apology. As readers of The Thun will know, I remarked in an interview with this newspaper that Hitler was able to "get things done". I have no complaints about the quote — it is what I said — but it was not what I meant to say.

What I meant to say was that Hitler managed to get the roads and the railways built.
Not the gas chambers bit.
But, of course, when I say he got the roads and railways built that's not the roads and railways that were built to take people to the concentration camps, no, no, I didn't mean that either.
What I meant to say was that it was good that Hitler got all the other roads and railways he built built, all those roads and railways miles and miles away from the concentration camps, some even running in the opposite direction from the camps, that was what I meant to say.
A broader point I was alluding to in the original interview was that it is my belief that it is the fault of democracy that politicians can't get things done.
A well run business isn't a democracy it is a dictatorship is what I think I was trying to say. And I run a business very well thank you very much so dictatorships, like how I run Formula One, is good.
Hmmm?
Yes, I think that is what I was trying to say.
So, let's overthrow the bloody politicians and install me as your dictator. Then I can get things done.
Yes, yes, that was exactly what I was trying to say.
Right. Who's going to join me on the barricades then?
Bernie for King of England!
