Channel Four's financial problems worsened today as it was revealed that the Big Brother house has been repossessed after the company failed to keep up the mortgage payments.
In a special agreement with its creditors the show will continue to be broadcast until this Friday at which time it will be taken off the air abruptly.
The show's producers have put the entire house up for eviction this week and will evict everyone in a surprise end of series eviction three weeks before the actual scheduled ending of the show, sources close to the show say.
This could be the end to Big Brother. This year's ratings fell to the lowest level since the great depression in 1929.
