Mirror Foils Tory Jeremy Paxman Blackmail Plot

An attempt to blackmail Jeremy Paxman by kidnapping his wife and children while he interviewed David Cameron, was foiled last night by quick thinking Daily Mirror journalists.

Media police have been warned that this isn't an isolated incident.

Jeremy Paxman is regarded as one of the stroppiest interviewers and silencing him would be a major coup.

A spokesman for the BBC said soon after the kidnap plot was foiled:

"Jeremy is free to be as argumentative as usual, with the usual bonus of £1000 each time he makes one of the party leaders cry."
