The BBC was in crisis today after two senior broadcasters called a member of the cabinet a c*nt live on air.
Pressure of the cuts on the BBC, with hundreds being made redundant, is believed to be the real reason behind the on air outbursts which the BBC would have us believe was a simple slip of the tongue, twice in an hour.
A spokesman for the BBC said: "James Naughtie said C*nt Hunt and then coughed, it's not like he just stopped after swearing. It was a clear slip of the tongue. Andrew was obviously worried he would say the same thing and then promptly said it - it's the danger of live broadcasting and we can't afford a delay and a beeper machine because of the coalition cuts. (I did say cut there didn't I? Just checking. Phew.)"
BBC Human Resources train their journalists how to not swear on air, but neither Naughtie or Marr have had their refresher course for over three years, the recommended time.
Both outbursts are still available on iPlayer and Youtube. It's a disgrace.
In an earlier incident Radio Five's Nickie Campbell referred to the West Kent Hunt as the West C*nt Hunt twice.
