| Lord
Hutton has now reported. The full report is available on the
web site - click on the icon above to go there. In summary,
Lord Hutton cleared Number 10 of lying about the Iraq 45 minute
WMD claim and blamed the BBC for various failures, including
a lack of editorial control over the original Gilligan claims,
and the BBC's failure to investigate the claims afterwards. |

BBC
is defective

We
must be careful in jumping to conclusions so quickly following
the complete and devastating body blow of death delivered
today on the BBC by Lord Hutton. Other than to say that this

supported pomposity and arrogance must now be put finally
into a secure sleep from which it can never awake. We must
not unfairly taunt this fat slovenly pillar of the establishment
on this day in which the truth is finally revealed, other
than to point out that it is now time to scrap the licence
fee and privatise the terrible BBC...
