Tony
Blair used his 'special relationship' with
God last night for a prayer in which he asked
that England 'beat the pants' off Switzerland
in the Euro 2004 championships, tonight. In
a rare comment on his religion the Prime Minister
admitted that without divine intervention
the team will be flying home. It was
also revealed, yesterday, that French President
Jacques Chirac may have been behind Zidane's
unlikely goal fest in injury time on Sunday.
Chirac broke into his traditional 17 course
evening meal to sit cross leggedly whilst
humming a chantra for the last ten minutes
of the game against England.
