Emin Blaze

Art on Fire
'Appropriate end' to Emin's tent say fire brigade and critics alike
Insurance claim form could become work of art in own right

Tracy Emin's pivotal Brit Art metaphor of unfettered sauciness in the great outdoors has been burnt to a cinder, sources say. The tent, which had the names of all Emin's lovers embroidered throughout the work, was part of Charles Saatchi's Brit Art "masterpiece" collection which has been burned to a frazzle. Charles Saatchi is being urged to put on display the insurance claim form for the loss which could itself turn into a work of art in due course. The original, unembroided, tent, costs £39.99 at all good outdoor stores. It is believed Saatchi paid one kerchillion dollars for the work.
