Pubs
in London are to be encouraged to introduce dirge music, funeral
clothing and bar staff who are too busy taking personal calls
on their mobiles to serve during hours previously designated
as Happy Hour, under new drinking rules, or so they tell us.
A
drinker in the Pig's Tit And Whistle, Leadenhall Street,
said: "I came to this pub for the all you can drink for
a fiver promotion in 1997 and haven't been home since."
Whatbread,
the brewery that introduced the 'Three Pukes and You're
Out' promotion which revolutionized social vomiting across
the capital, told us: "Today is the beginning of a new
era of sensible drinking and better profits."
