Petrol
pump station managers are said to be 'kaking' themselves should the price of a
litre of petrol go over the 99.9p a litre mark, we have discovered.
"We
just can't put a price higher than 99.9p on our boards, it's potentially a complete
disaster", a manager told this paper.
He
continued: "We thought about painting a 1 on the board but what do we do
if the price then goes back under a £1 a litre? We can't charge 1.99 a litre,
the locals would kill me."
An
expert at the Home Office was unable to tell us what to do when we called last
night.
