The
£8.6billion West Coast rail track may need to be replaced again after experts
discovered it has been laid the wrong way round.
The
discovery, by a Government spending watchdog, found that without the changes,
trains may have to run backwards.
A
rail expert told this web site that it has been known for a while that the rail
track had problems but the contractors hoped nobody would notice until much later.
17
people, none of them English, died.
