Problems
at the Home Office continued today when a section of the department was lost.
News
that the Home Office is to be split into two new departments was overshadowed
by news that the Asylum and Immigration Service was not included in either
of the two new departments.
Immediate
security checks have been put into place in an attempt to find the Asylum and
Immigration Service but officials inside one of the remaining Home Office's
suggest that the department may never be found.
The
missing department has an annual budget of over £2.7 billion and
employs over 2500, although the official figure is not known.
Nobody
was available to answer any press questions last night because the press department
is in the missing section.
