Far
be it for us to moan about anything, but the BBC's recent Glastonbury coverage
duped viewers into thinking that they were watching a live concert when in fact
the concert had been recorded sometimes as little as 15 minutes earlier. But even
though the concert footage was recorded, the naughty BBC still put the word LIVE
in the top left hand corner to make themselves look all clever like...
The
BBC committed this fraud repeatedly during the weekend with, in one instance,
two members of the Kaiser Chiefs being interviewed on BBC3 and their concert footage
was then introduced and showed with the LIVE sign in the top left hand corner.
There should have been a warning, or an apology, but did the BBC do this? Did
they heck as like.
This
disgraceful waste of the license fee payers license fee occurred far too frequently
for our liking over the weekend.

BBC
says it's live but this is a recording. Only seconds before this man was being
interviewed in the BBC's studios. |
...and
while we're on the subject, why oh why oh why did many of the BBC commentators
deliver their commentary to camera in wellies? It's just too disgraceful for words.
