5 Aug 2007 Harvey is an excellent photographer and he offers some vivid
scenes from his daily travels on Birmingham's 11C route. With wide-angle exposures,
he reflects the full spectrum of Birmingham's streets. Capturing over five hundred
kebab houses and eighty massage parlours for posterity is no minor achievement.
One or two of the shots are marginally obscured by the inevitable chewing gum
and graffiti on the bus windows, but the quality is largely very fine. The spirit
of Birmingham is perhaps best encapsulated by the photograph on page nine- in
which a young student is seen urinating against a parked car whilst gorging herself
on curry and chips. |

Discovering Electronics

the following review helpful: A marvellous introduction to the world
of electronics, 30 Jul 2007 What William Donald Phillips doesn't know
about crocodile clips isn't worth knowing. However, those who are familiar with
his popular musings on sadomasochism should note that it is a science-only affair
in this particular volume.

A truly comprehensive guidebook to Amazon, offering countless buying and
selling tips and raising awareness of features that few even knew existed. The
'cheat-code' which enables one to save 50% on all purchases is something that
I have exploited to the full. Also, it was interesting to discover that customer
reviews are rarely to be trusted. It is a mystery to me why anyone should choose
to offer misleading information in a review of a book that they have never read,
but apparently it often occurs. |

1 Aug 2007 An excellent alternative to Deborah Addington's 'A Hand in
the Bush', exploring the more light-hearted elements of an uncommonly romantic
taboo. Fortunately the authors also address the vital procedures of health and
safety with due sobriety. As I learned in the 70s, there's nothing 'fun' about
enduring a severe prolapse. Some wedding-night that turned out to be...
