The
BBC has said that it will allow its news readers and correspondents to use swear
words in all 10 O'Clock News bulletins from January.
This
follows a poll of viewers in which 67% said they didn't mind the use of strong
profanities after the 9 o'clock watershed.
Editors
of the 6 O'Clock News have said that they will continue to restrict swear words
to 'bloody' and 'shit' for the time being.
17
people were sacked.
