You
Can't Hurry A Murray!
|
Andy
Murray took his time last night to beat
Frenchman Richard Gasquet 3 sets to
2 as an enthralled Britain watched the
Scotsman smash, slice and chip the tennis
ball over a net.
Children
cried more hysterically than ever
as their parents told them they had
to go to bed before the end of this
epic, no holds barred, tennis match.
Only
two embarrassing defeats lay ahead
of this brave tennis player in his
quest to reach the final, the first
time a Scotsman has made that journey
since Mel Gibson in Braveheart.
If
he were to win, Gordon Brown's popularity
could be transformed over night....

Andy
McMurray won 3 sets to 2 last
night in a Thrilla in Manilla
on Centre Court in Wimbledon
Town.
The
crowd screamed, babies cried,
and there was a tear in the
eye of grown men some of whom
thought that a Brit would
never win Wimbledon again.
That
he is not English was the
only minor concern of the
crowd who cheered Scotland's
brave warrior, single rackedly
beating the dreams of a French
nation...

Murray
Was Mint To Win!
|
Andy
Murray came to the rescue
of beleaguered Scottish British
PM Gordon McBrown this evening.
Murray,
who looked like he was about
to let it all slip away at
the last minute, just like
Brown, gripped on to his racket
for dear life and managed
someway somehow to snatch
a victory taking him into
the Quarter finals, a record.
There
wasn't a dry eye in the house
as Britain at last looked
like it might actually win
something at Wimbledon...
