The
rate of inflation hit 4.4%
earlier today, a palindrome.
This means that inflation
now reads the same backwards
as it does forwards.
The
last time that happened inflation
was 3.3%.
Inflation
would have to rise another
1.1% for this to happen again,
or fall 0.9%.
A
Darling, Chancellor of the
Exchequer, said that inflation
is a problem everywhere in
the world, but rarely is inflation
such a nice palindrome as
it is in the United Kingdom
at the moment.
